Master William H. " The Outlaw " Lind - 7th Dan

William H. Lind
I was Introduced to Master Bill in Lake Tahoe California By Master Tom.
I had been training Tai Chi with him for about a year or so when he sent Me to train with Bill because he said I needed to learn how to kick and hit really F^&*%$g hard. This Started me back on the Tae Kwon Do but it wasn't your plain vanilla brand it was full contact life or death not sport. It soon came in handy.
Like all of my teachers Bill is a no nonsense guy. After training with Bill and Tom simultaneously and being the doorman for the only true live rock / disco club
" First Draft Choice" in town for about 6 mos They decided to open a school for me @ Zephyr Cove , NV to teach in . A few months later I opened a second location in South Lake Tahoe, CA. a couple years later, both of us had moved to Kihei, Maui,HI so, we opened a school there.
Bill Trained Under GM Chuck Loven and earned a 4th Dan from him starting classes in Las Vegas,NV after returning from Military Service
and taking his fair share of knocks away from home. He has this strange habit of walking along the beach or in the woods with you during twilight and your talking to him and then suddenly you realize you are now alone. He's a tricky one.
Returning to school and working several businesses Bill still made time for nation- wide tournaments and was interviewed by "Black Belt" Magazine " as a green belt fighter for GM Loven. Bill is the ultimate ring savvy coach to teach strategy , pace and timing for those who wish to compete.
It's strange to me that we both get disqualified for contact alot because we just like to get to the point. I was a nice kid before he got ahold of me. I had the skills but the attitude and hyper-awareness was developed by Bill. In the jobs we had in security / executive protection that followed, I was glad to have that information.
He also put together The Combat Tai Chi Chuan and The Tae Kwon Do as a Student of Master Tamez once he was given permission to do so By GM Loven.
It was the perfect mix for multiple attackers in a tight nightclub environment.
You see we were mixed martial arts way ahead of the curve. Continuing to study other styles is a requirement to be successful and have the knowledge to be a strong competitor.
Master Bill was Given The Right to promote compete and train others to compete and teach by GM Chuck Loven for all Of The West Coast United States Upon his Departure from Las Vegas.. He Has Also Reached His 7th Black Sash Under Master Thomas R. Tamez in Outlaw Style Tai Chi.
He has been My Teacher and one of my best friends for over 30 years.
His Fighting Gi reads " The Outlaw" across the shoulder panel..
